Former President Barack Obama will campaign in Cleveland on Saturday, Oct. 24, with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Sherrod Brown and gubernatorial nominee Amy Acton. A venue and start time had not been announced. [1][2]
It will be Obama's first visit to Ohio since 2018. He carried the state in both of his presidential races, and the same day he is scheduled to appear in Detroit with Michigan Democrats. In a video endorsement, he said the Senate race will be close. [1]
Republicans have brought in their own headliners. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have held three rallies for Sen. Jon Husted since the start of October. Husted said last week that he felt good about his campaign and had seen a shift in energy over the past month. [1]
